What Hunt For Change is, and why we're building it.
Hunt For Change is the central place where purpose-driven organisations and young people 12–25 find each other. We exist to make youth participation findable — so the opportunities that already exist reach the young people whose insight the social impact sector most needs, and so authentic engagement becomes the default rather than the exception.
Nothing about youth, without youth.
This is the test every decision passes through. If a young person who would use the platform was not in the room when the decision was made, the decision is not finished. It applies to product, to governance, to language, to who gets credited for the work. It is not a value statement; it is a working method.
Nihil de nobis, sine nobis.
The sector has a connection problem.
Most youth participation opportunities reach only young people who are already in the room. Fragmented newsletters, social media campaigns, word-of-mouth — the same small group of voices hears about everything, and the young people whose insight the social impact sector most needs to hear are systematically missed.
Organisations want to engage authentically, but lack the practical means. Compliance with Child Safe Standards, the shift toward social prescription, and a workforce shortage in the social impact sector all sharpen the need for something that works.
Hunt For Change is the centralised hub the sector currently lacks — a single place where opportunities are surfaced, young people find ones that fit, and authentic connection becomes the default rather than the exception.
Lived experience into lived expertise.
Young people who have navigated systemic disadvantage are not beneficiaries of Hunt For Change — they are the people whose insight makes the work credible. We treat lived expertise as a form of professional expertise. It carries weight in the same room as academic credentials and sector tenure, and it shapes what we build, who we build it with, and how we know when we've got it right.

Hunt For Change is being built by a small team of young people working alongside senior advisors from across the social impact sector. Names and roles are being finalised with the people involved, not in advance of them, and will be published on the team page as those decisions are confirmed.
